  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on boiler systems, chiller systems, rooftop units (RTUs), and related mechanical equipment with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge, performing corrective maintenance to restore systems to proper operation.
  • Conduct chemical analysis and water treatment monitoring to optimize system performance and equipment longevity across utility systems.
  • Document all work performed, complete work orders accurately and timely in the maintenance management system, and maintain comprehensive records of equipment service history.
  • Research and order supplies, parts, and materials as needed to support maintenance operations and keep equipment inventory adequately stocked.
  • Maintain assigned areas of responsibility, ensuring mechanical rooms and equipment spaces remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience in HVAC operations and maintenance in commercial or institutional settings.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • This role falls under Local Union 559. Candidates must be current members or eligible to join the union within 90 days of hire.
  • Working knowledge and hands‑on experience with boiler systems, chilled water systems, rooftop units, and water treatment systems.

  • General knowledge of computer operations for building automation systems, work order management, and documentation.
  • Physical capability to regularly lift bulky or moderately heavy weights up to 50 pounds and occasionally assist with heavier tasks requiring pushing, pulling, or material handling.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to work under frequent deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
