Smart Air Cooling & Heating in the Austin area seeks an HVAC Lead Installer to manage multi-day residential installations. You’ll lead the job from start to finish, set equipment, braze, pull vacuum, charge, and commission systems while guiding installer helpers.

This role emphasizes craftsmanship, timely completion, and meeting code with pride. Expect steady year‑round work, top pay, benefits, and a leadership position overseeing crews and communicating with homeowners.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of residential HVAC install experience with leadership.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Texas ACR registration or certification (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductwork.
• Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pride in craftsmanship and a professional attitude with customers.
• Well organized and able to work independently.
• Energetic personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal skills.
• Punctual.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC system installs from start to finish.
• Set equipment, run line sets, braze, pull vacuum, charge, and commission systems.
• Install and modify ductwork, venting, and electrical connections as needed.
• Direct and mentor installer helpers.
• Keep job sites clean and communicate professionally with homeowners.
• Make sure every install meets code and our quality standards.
