Smart Air Cooling & Heating in the Austin area is looking for a Lead Residential HVAC Installer to manage multi-day residential installations with time to perform quality workmanship. You’ll lead a crew, set equipment, braze, pull a vacuum, and ensure proper charging and commissioning while maintaining clean, safe job sites.

The role emphasizes quality over speed, offering strong earnings ($100K-$125K/year) and year-round work with paid training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of residential HVAC install experience, with time spent leading jobs.
• EPA 608 certification required.
• Texas ACR registration or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC system installs from start to finish.
• Set equipment, run line sets, braze, pull vacuum, charge, and commission systems.
• Install and modify ductwork, venting, and electrical connections as needed.
• Direct and mentor installer helpers.
• Keep job sites clean and communicate professionally with homeowners.

Job Title:

HVAC Lead Installer

Work Hours:

7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday / Busy year round, not seasonal, with some overtime required

Pay Scale:

Performance Pay + Benefits + Spiffs

What You'll Do:

• Lead residential HVAC system installs from start to finish
• Set equipment, run line sets, braze, pull vacuum, charge, and commission systems
• Install and modify ductwork, venting, and electrical connections as needed

What We're Looking For:

• 3–5 years of residential HVAC install experience, with time spent leading jobs
• EPA 608 certification
• Texas ACR registration or certification ()
• Solid knowledge of split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductwork
• Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record
• Pride in craftsmanship and a professional attitude with customers
• Well organized and ability to work independently
