Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a 1st Shift Supervisor for the HVAC Lab in Columbus, OH. This intermediate level role tests units, analyzes results and adapts tests as needed, under general guidance.

You will set up facilities, support engineers, troubleshoot issues, and lead testing activities. A two-year degree with HVAC experience or more, supervisory experience preferred, and EPA Refrigerant Handling license are expected; strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate's Degree plus 5 years HVAC experience or 8+ years HVAC experience.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings for proto builds.
• Strong planning, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up test facility and instrumentation per instructions.
• Support engineers to structure and develop system testing capabilities.
• Analyze and improve existing testing processes and designs.
• Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.
• Troubleshoot and correct issues.
• Assist in developing solutions or workarounds to defects.
• Work with QA and ensure understanding of low-level functions.
• May assist QA with low-level tests and integration tests.
• Conduct tests, analyze data and modify units within intermediate scope.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Participate in 5S improvement programs.
