Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an HVAC Lab Technician for the 2nd shift at our Columbus, OH site. The role involves setup, testing, and iterative improvements of prototype units with close collaboration with engineers and QA teams.

Responsibilities include data analysis, troubleshooting, and participation in 5S and continuous improvement programs to support Vertiv’s priorities and innovative infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience: 2-year degree +1 year or 4+ years HVAC related experience.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License.
• Read mechanical drawings for prototypes and understand test setups.
• Good testing skills for temperature, pressure, and electrical properties.

Responsibilities

• Set up test facility and instrumentation per general instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop system testing capabilities.
• Analyze and improve existing test processes and designs.
• Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and facilities.
