Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking an HVAC Journeyman Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and operate HVAC systems in support of mission-critical modernization at Kirtland AFB. The role requires three years of HVAC experience, NM Journeyman Refrigeration Certification, and EPA certification.

Responsibilities include service, maintenance, and documentation per guidelines, with after-hours on-demand work and potential for field projects. Strong safety and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of HVAC experience.
• NM Journeyman Refrigeration Certification required.
• Universal EPA Certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
• Read and interpret building diagrams and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots HVAC equipment.
• Performs minor controls repair or replacement including motors and operators.
• Works on commercial and residential HVAC/R systems including refrigeration equipment.
• Assists in de-scaling of equipment as required.
• Responds to service calls promptly, troubleshoots, and performs repairs as needed.
• Completes documentation per service guidelines and communicates with dispatch.
• Performs periodic HVAC maintenance and participates in after-hours on-demand service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
