Job summary

Ayers Mechanical Group is seeking a reliable HVAC Journeyman to install, service, and repair HVAC systems in homes and businesses. You will ensure safety, quality workmanship, and a positive customer experience while working across residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and testing systems, explaining features to customers, and correctly completing paperwork and field documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC experience or relevant training.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working with hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC equipment and systems according to company standards and local codes.
• Maintain and repair residential and commercial HVAC units, ensuring safety and correct workmanship.
• Test newly installed systems for proper performance before leaving the job site.
• Explain system features, maintenance tips, and operational instructions to customers clearly.
• Recommend additional equipment or services when appropriate.
• Complete work orders, time logs, and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain inventory of tools and parts; participate in regular inventory checks.
• Keep company vehicle and equipment in clean, safe working order.
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity on every job.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
