Universal Technical Institute in Smyrna, GA is seeking an experienced HVACR Instructor to mentor the next generation of technicians. If you have the drive to teach, we will train you and help you share real-world knowledge in a hands-on classroom.

You will lead demonstrations, guide diagnostics and maintenance, and collaborate with our education team to develop engaging, industry-aligned courses while ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of practical HVACR experience.
• EPA 608/Universal certification valued.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students.
• Patient and empathetic approach to teaching.

Mansioni

Position Overview

As an HVACR Instructor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the minds and skills of our students. Your expertise in heating and cooling systems and components will be the guiding light that leads them to a promising career in many different industries. We believe that hands-on learning is the key to success, so get ready to dive into the world of interactive teaching and inspire the next generation to conquer the challenges of modern HVACR technology.

• $30 - $35 per hour/year
• Weekends OFF

Responsibilities

• Inspire and Educate: Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for the HVACR industry while imparting your expert knowledge.
• Hands-On Training: Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
• Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor students on their projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
• Safety First: Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: 3-5 years of practical work experience in the field
• Certifications: EPA 608/Universal is highly valued
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with students and fellow staff effectively
• Patience and Empathy: A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace
