Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC Installer/Technician to install and service systems in new construction. You will read blueprints, rough-in ductwork, install air handlers and furnaces, and connect refrigerant piping while ensuring safety and code compliance.

The role requires strong problem-solving, independent work ethic, and teamwork with construction professionals on-site. Valid driver’s license and HVAC training are needed to contribute to efficient, safe installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship in HVAC preferred.
• Proven experience as HVAC installer or technician in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and functionality.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, baths, returns, and line sets per design and state/local codes.
• Perform finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage/equipment wiring in accordance with diagrams, codes, and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
