Airtron LLC in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking an HVAC installer to perform installation, testing, and repair of heating and cooling systems while maintaining a safe work environment. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, prior HVAC installation experience, and effective communication skills.
The position requires problem-solving skills, the ability to read installation documents, and a valid driver's license. The job involves working at residential sites, often outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Works under general supervision to install heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications.
May test systems to ensure proper functioning. Identifies issues and follows up with required repair to ensure all relevant components are working correctly for compliance.
Completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner. May perform start‑up on air conditioning systems as needed. Fabricates and installs various ducts and duct fittings as required. Follows safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Duties may vary by location.
Majority of work will take place at occupied residential homes and/or construction sites. Minimal time spent in an office environment. Travel by vehicle to and from work locations.
Regularly exposed to construction environments involving equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
