Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Wisconsin seeks an HVAC Installer-Construction to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. The role requires technical expertise and collaboration with other trades to ensure safe, efficient installations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as HVAC installer or technician in a construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and functionality.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
  • Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, bath fans, returns, and line sets per design and state/local codes.
  • Perform finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.
  • Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage/equipment wiring in accordance with diagrams, codes, and safety standards.
  • Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
  • Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
  • Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
