Job summary

Beyerairconditioningheating is seeking a Residential Installer Helper to support the lead installer with replacements and repairs of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation equipment. You will report to the Residential Service Manager and help ensure work is performed to company standards.

The role emphasizes courteous, neat appearance on site, inventory control, tool care, and adherence to EPA/CFC policies.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or trade school equivalent.
Ability to work without close supervision.
Experience troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant and mechanical systems.
Basic knowledge of ductwork design and construction.
Experience in refrigeration pipe fitting and installation.
Good mechanical skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor on job sites.
Strong communication with customers and team members.
Must complete at least 30 hours of continuing education annually.
Must hold Type I and II C.F.C. certification.
Must be able to work with ladders and at heights.
Must lift at least 50 pounds.
Must be registered with the State of Texas Licensing and Regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist lead installer with replacements/repairs to mechanical and controls.
Maintain quality of work to company standards and represent the company professionally.
Be courteous, neat, clean, and in uniform on the job.
Load truck stock, load equipment, and fill supplies for jobs.
Keep vehicles clean and maintained weekly.
Protect customer property and valuables to the best of your ability.
Unload trash, old equipment and debris daily.
Follow lead installer's instructions and maintain inventory.
Maintain and protect company tools; report deficiencies.
Report vehicle mechanical problems to maintenance coordinator.
Notify manager of any absence with ample notice.
Be available for after-hours emergency service as needed.
Input/edit model, serial numbers, and filters; take pictures of equipment.
Follow EPA and company CFC policies.
Purchase, upkeep and replacement of personal tools required for duties.
Follow all rules in employee handbook and perform other duties as needed.
