Job summary

Bluflame Service Co. is seeking a hands-on HVAC Warehouse & Purchasing Manager to own warehouse operations, procurement, and parts distribution.

You will ensure technicians receive the right materials quickly, lead the parts counter, and provide daily support to shop and field teams while upholding safety and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate has HVAC knowledge, strong leadership, and a passion for operational excellence.

Position Overview

The HVAC Warehouse & Purchasing Manager will take ownership of warehouse operations, procurement activities, and parts distribution. This role plays a key part in ensuring technicians have the correct materials quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring HVAC product knowledge, leadership ability, and a passion for operational excellence. Additionally, this position directly oversees the parts counter and will provide daily support to the shop and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations


• Lead and oversee all daily warehouse functions including receiving, stocking, material staging, and shipping


• Maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment compliant with company and OSHA standards


• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory controls


• Manage logistics coordination for inbound/outbound products


• Purchasing & Procurement


• Source and purchase HVAC parts, tools, and equipment to support daily operations


• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing


• Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance


• Monitor inventory usage and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly


• Parts Counter Leadership


• Act as primary lead of the parts counter to support service and installation teams


• Provide technical parts knowledge and sourcing support to technicians


• Ensure accuracy in parts distribution, returns processing, and inventory handling


• Maintain high levels of internal customer service and reduce technician downtime

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in warehouse or inventory management required HVAC industry experience strongly preferred


• Knowledge of HVAC components, suppliers, and supply chain standards


• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment


• Proficiency in inventory software systems and Microsoft Office


• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if driving company vehicles)
