Job summary

SwiftPro Heating, Cooling & Plumbing in Chantilly, VA is seeking a full-time HVAC installer to join our Northern Virginia team. We offer steady year-round work, a supportive crew, and a clear path to growth as you deliver five-star installations.

You will install, start up, and test residential heating and cooling systems, fabricate ductwork, and ensure safe, code-compliant work. We provide a company vehicle, gas card, tablet, uniforms, paid time off, and six holidays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification required/preferred.
• Skilled in sheet metal, brazing, gas piping, low-voltage wiring and system start-up.
• Strong attention to detail and a clear, friendly communicator.
• Able to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in all seasons.

Responsibilities

• Install residential heating and cooling systems: gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless units.
• Remove old equipment and recover refrigerant properly.
• Fabricate and modify ductwork, plenums, and transitions for clean fit and airflow.
• Braze linesets with nitrogen, evacuate and weigh in the charge.
• Make gas, electrical, venting, and condensate connections to code and specs.
• Start up, test, and commission every system and document readings.
• Walk homeowners through the new system and thermostat before leaving.
• Protect the home with floor coverings and leave the work area clean.

What You’ll Do

• Install residential heating and cooling systems: gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, dual-fuel systems, and ductless mini-splits
• Remove old equipment and recover refrigerant the right way, every time
• Fabricate and modify ductwork, plenums, and transitions for a clean fit and strong airflow
• Braze linesets with nitrogen, pull a proper micron evacuation, and weigh in the charge
• Make gas, electrical, venting, and condensate connections to code and manufacturer specifications
• Start up, test, and commission every system, and document the readings
• Walk the homeowner through the new system and thermostat before you leave
• Protect the home with floor coverings and leave the work area cleaner than you found it

Who You Are

• A self-motivated installer who takes pride in your work and doesn’t need to be chased
• 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience
• Obsessed with the details: level pads, straight lines, sealed joints, and tidy wiring
• EPA Section 608 certified
• Skilled in sheet metal, brazing, gas piping, low-voltage wiring, and system start-up
• A clear, friendly communicator who treats every home with respect
• Able to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in all seasons
• Holder of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and able to pass a background check
• Virginia HVAC Journeyman or Master license (DPOR) is a plus

Compensation

• Pay structure: Full-time W-2 position, competitive hourly pay based on experience, paid weekly, with overtime at 1.5x for hours over 40 in a workweek
• Hourly rate: $__________ to $__________ per hour, based on experience and certifications
