Job summary

Zimmer Heating & Cooling is seeking an Operations Manager, HVAC Install to lead the installation department in the Greater Cincinnati market. This hands-on leader will develop people, improve processes, and drive operational performance to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will coach technicians, manage KPIs, and collaborate with sales, dispatch, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality installations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC leadership experience.
• Experience managing residential HVAC installation teams.
• Strong knowledge of installation practices, project management, scheduling and field operations.
• Proven ability to coach technicians and build high-performing teams.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and driving accountability.
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of residential HVAC installation technicians, field supervisors and support staff.
• Drive installation revenue, gross margin, productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct ride-alongs, coaching sessions and field observations for quality.
• Collaborate with sales, dispatch and service teams for seamless execution.
• Monitor installation quality through site visits and audits.
• Manage customer escalations and timely issue resolution.
• Analyze KPIs and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training and retention for the installation department.
