Job summary

Freedom Air & Plumbing in Rockledge, FL is seeking an HVAC Install Helper to assist technicians with light repair and installation work. The role requires learning on the job, maintaining a neat, safe work area and presenting a professional image in customer homes.

Must have basic HVAC exposure, own tools, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work weekends as needed. Competitive pay with benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of HVAC installation experience preferred
• Must own tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical school a plus)
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections
• Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics and climb ladders
• Excellent math, people, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the technician with light repair and installation work.
• Observe and learn all aspects of the trade.
• Wear floor savers while in the client's home and maintain a neat work area when performing a repair or scheduled service.
• Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
• Always be courteous, respectful, and pleasant to the customer.
• Be accurate and timely with all paperwork.
• Obey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
• Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.
• Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats.
• Ensure safety best practices are followed in the field.
• Other duties as assigned.
