Job summary

Comfort Wave Home Services is seeking an HVAC Install Helper to join our team in the Oklahoma City area. You will assist with install and replacement of HVAC equipment, ductwork, and rooftop units, while keeping the service vehicle stocked and organized.

You will travel to job sites with the lead, work with dispatch to maintain schedule, and engage homeowners about concerns or upgrades. Training opportunities and team mentorship are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently in a timely manner.
• Ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs.
• Minimum tool requirements include basic hand tools and duct-related tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing and replacing HVAC equipment including ductwork and rooftop units.
• Maintain proper stock, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Travel with a lead to job sites and coordinate with dispatch to keep schedules and communicate delays to customers.
• Design duct systems for comfort and efficiency.
• Interact with homeowners to discuss concerns or potential upgrades.
• Handle job-site paperwork and electronic payments as required.
• Participate in training on customer service and new technologies.
• Coach and mentor apprentices and entry-level installers.

What Will I Do?

• Assist in the Install/Replace HVAC equipment including, but not limited to ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits (gas or heat pump), rooftop package units (gas or heat pump)
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Travel with the Lead to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer
• Design Duct Systems for Optimal Comfort and Efficiency
• Engage in conversation with the homeowner to uncover any concern or interests regarding their AC system which could lead to potential accessory sales or a new system replacement
• Understand company pricing program and generate appropriate customer invoices and other paperwork at the job site and electronically process credit card payments
• Participate in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies.
• Work with apprentices and entry-level installers to coach and mentor

Do I have What it Takes?

• Minimum Tool Requirements Basic Hand Tools- wrenches, screwdriver/nut drives, sheet metal/duct tools, and hammer.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
• Ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs
