Job summary

Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is hiring an HVAC Install Apprentice in Hingham, MA. You will work on residential heating and cooling installs, learning from experienced installers and growing toward independent work. Expect on-site training, hands-on tool use, and a coachable environment.

Position offers a clear path to journeyman, with hourly pay between $18 and $35, depending on experience, and company benefits including health/dental, 401(k) with match, PTO, and tools/truck support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of hands-on HVAC, mechanical, or general tool experience.
• Comfortable with tools and being on a job site.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with residential HVAC installation projects.
• Handle material prep, staging, and cleanup on install jobs.
• Help run and secure duct, line sets, venting, and condensate.
• Learn proper installation techniques, code requirements, and best practices.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Communicate clearly with the lead installer and customers on site.
• Follow all safety protocols on every job.
• Grow into more independent installation work as skills develop.

Compensation: $18.00 - $35.00 / hour

Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a growing residential service company serving Hingham and the South Shore. We're hiring an HVAC Install Apprentice to join our installation team, working alongside experienced installers on residential heating and cooling install projects. This role is a fit for someone who already knows their way around tools and has some hands-on experience, and who is ready to be coached and developed further.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with residential HVAC installation projects, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers
• Handle material prep, staging, and cleanup on install jobs
• Help run and secure duct, line sets, venting, and condensate
• Learn proper installation techniques, code requirements, and best practices
• Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly
• Communicate clearly with the lead installer and customers on site
• Follow all safety protocols on every job
• Grow into more independent installation work as skills develop

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
