This hands-on role offers training and growth while working on residential replacement and retrofit projects. Qualified candidates have HVAC trade school training, 6 months to 2 years of experience, CT apprenticeship registration, and a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

• Approximately 6 months to 2 years of HVAC experience preferred.
• HVAC trade school training completed.
• Must be registered as a Connecticut HVAC apprentice.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Reliable transportation to Branford, CT.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced installers with residential HVAC replacements and installations.
• Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems and related equipment.
• Assist with ductwork, refrigerant piping, venting, drainage and controls.
• Load and unload equipment and materials at jobsites.
• Maintain clean and organized jobsites; adhere to safety standards.
• Learn startup, testing and commissioning procedures.
• Follow company installation procedures and safety guidelines.
• Develop hands-on HVAC skills and professional work ethic.

Air, Inc. Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for an HVAC Apprentice / Installer Helper who has completed trade school and is ready to continue building a career in residential HVAC.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to work directly with experienced installers on residential replacement and retrofit projects in the Branford, CT area.

What You'll Do

• Assist experienced installers with residential HVAC replacements
• Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and related equipment
• Assist with ductwork, refrigerant piping, venting, drainage, and controls
• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Maintain clean and organized jobsites
• Learn proper startup, testing, and commissioning procedures
• Follow company installation and safety standards
• Continue developing hands‑on HVAC skills

Requirements
