Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an HVAC Technician in Michigan to maintain and repair equipment across manufacturing and distribution functions. You will troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective maintenance plans.

Role requires formal apprenticeship completion or journeyman/master certification, with 5–7 years in maintenance in a food manufacturing setting preferred. Familiarity with SQF, GMPs, LOTO and Lean methods is expected.

Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship completion and/or journeyman master certification.
• Mechatronics certifications for Levels 1-7 completed.
• 5-7 years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance and electrical systems experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Safe Quality Foods (SQF), GMPs, LOTO and Lean Manufacturing.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; convey technical information to non-technical audience.
• Working knowledge with mechanical and electrical component maintenance and repair practices.

Responsibilities

• Improve, maintain and repair all equipment used in manufacturing and distribution functions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and devise repair plans.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with codes.
