Job summary

Metro Mechanical Inc. is seeking a hands-on helper to support commercial HVAC installation teams in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will assist with loading and delivering materials, setting up ductwork, and ensuring compliance with safety standards on job sites.

Ideal candidates can lift up to 50 pounds, work with minimal supervision, and pass a drug screen. Valid driver’s license required; tools are expected to be provided by the worker.

Responsibilities

• Take and follow instructions to collect tools and equipment.
• Assist HVAC mechanics on installing commercial HVAC systems.
• Ensure systems comply with standards and protocols.
• Stock job sites with ductwork and equipment and clean up.
• Measure and prepare materials for installations.
• Assist in installing ducts and ducting systems.
• Ensure proper delivery and removal of equipment from sites.
• Enforce safety measures before, during, and after tasks.
• Maintain client property safety and comply with codes.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Take and follow instructions regarding the collection and acquisition of tools and equipment.
• Assist HVAC mechanic or lead installer on installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on commercial properties.
• Ensure that all systems remain in compliance with standards and protocols.
• Stocking job site with ductwork and equipment and cleaning jobsites of HVAC identifiable trash.
• Measure and prepare the materials required for HVAC installations.
• Assist in the installation of ducts and ducting systems.
• Ensure proper delivery and removal of equipment from client sites.
• Enforce safety measures before, during, and after each process.
• Devise and implement methods in order to ensure that clients’ property remains safe.
• Complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, pull and push components/equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work flexible hours as required.
• Able to work well with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specific procedures.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Must have a valid DL and good driving record.
• Tools are required.
