Job summary

WinnCompanies seeks an adaptable General Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist I for the Military Housing team at Fort Campbell, KY. You will perform maintenance across rental units, offices, and grounds, ensuring safe, quality service and positive resident feedback.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an HVAC license, and basic carpentry/electrical/plumbing skills. You will work on-site at a federal facility, handle on-call repairs, and support various appliances and systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Current HVAC license.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, or appliances.
• Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform duties.
• Solid customer service skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and web applications.
• Ability to read and write in English and follow directions from supervisors.
• REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID required to access federal facility.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, repair, and complete advanced troubleshooting of HVAC systems and parts.
• Diagnose HVAC issues, such as no heat or no air.
• Understand pressures and system capabilities, including freon.
• Replace commonly-used parts in HVAC systems.
• Assist with replacement of full HVAC systems.
• Respond to service calls related to residential maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances).
• Complete service calls/Change of Occupancy Maintenance work.
• Transport, install, and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other appliances.
• Respond to after-hours emergency and urgent repairs.
• Update work orders with time, materials, and notes on mobile devices.
