Job summary

Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time HVAC Foreman for our New Home Construction Division. You will oversee field personnel, ensure materials are ready at the job site, evaluate work quality, and assist with complex project installations.

You will report to the project manager based on your observations. The role emphasizes safety, directing subcontractors, and on-site training, with leadership focused on profitability and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5 years HVAC new construction experience with 2 years of leadership experience required.
• Plans and lays out work from oral and written instructions; assigns and supervises HVAC personnel.
• Ensure all equipment and materials are on the site for installs.
• Manage labor, Sobieski employees as well as Subcontractors.
• Establishes safety and work performance standards for subordinates.

Responsibilities

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HVAC FOREMAN FOR NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION

As a HVAC Foreman, you provide oversight and direction for the field personnel. You ensure that materials are at the job site prior to scheduling the labor needed to complete the work. Applying your industry knowledge, you are able to evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction. You assist with complex project installation challenges. As the liaison to offsite management, you report to and make recommendations to the project manager based on your observations.

You direct the subcontractors and field personnel, providing informal job site training and guidance in the HVAC methods that you are knowledgeable about. • Ensure all equipment and materials are on the site for installs
• Manage labor, Sobieski employees as well as Subcontractors
• Conducts regular inspections of work in progress and on completion; participates in the more complex HVAC tasks.
• Confers with officials on proposed HVAC projects and makes recommendations.
• Establishes safety and work performance standards for subordinates.

FOREMAN WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time Foreman position typically works Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Overtime can be expected during peak periods.
