Comfortable Climate Heating, Air & Plumbing is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Field Supervisor to lead our residential service team across Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, and the Middle Peninsula. You'll stay hands-on while guiding technicians and solving complex diagnostic issues.

This role combines field leadership with in-the-trenches service work, including ride-alongs, coaching, and stepping in on service calls when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• EPA Certification and residential system knowledge.

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Are you the HVAC technician your team calls when a job gets difficult?

Comfortable Climate Heating, Air & Plumbing is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Field Supervisor to help lead and develop our residential service team across Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, and the Middle Peninsula.

This isn't a desk-only management position. You'll remain closely connected to the field-working alongside technicians, helping solve challenging diagnostic issues, conducting ride-alongs, coaching performance, and jumping into service work when the team needs support.

It's a great fit for an experienced technician who is ready to lead others without giving up the hands-on side of HVAC.

What You'll Do

• Support and supervise residential HVAC service technicians in the field
• Conduct ride-alongs, job observations, and performance evaluations
• Assist technicians with complex troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
• Step in on service calls, estimates, and high-demand situations when needed
• Coach technicians on technical skills, customer communication, and service procedures
• Identify individual training needs and help technicians improve
• Help coordinate technician schedules, daily priorities, and field support
• Monitor workmanship, safety, customer satisfaction, and overall service quality
• Help improve service department procedures, documentation, and workflow
• Promote accountability, professionalism, and teamwork throughout the department
• Serve as a technical resource for technicians when challenges arise

What We're Looking For

This position requires someone who has both strong residential HVAC experience and the ability to lead others.

• 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Previous experience as a lead technician, supervisor, trainer, or mentor preferred
• EPA Certification
• Thorough knowledge of residential HVAC systems, service, and repair
• Comfortable providing hands-on technical support in the field
• Ability to explain technical concepts and coach technicians effectively
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-through
• Willingness to hold team members accountable to company standards
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
