Job summary

Gateway Supply, a leading HVAC and plumbing supplier in Greenville, SC, is seeking an HVAC Outside Sales Representative. You will build relationships with contractors, understand their needs, and coordinate orders across internal teams to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of outside sales experience in the HVAC supply industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships by identifying new opportunities and growing existing accounts through consistent engagement and follow-up
• Understand customer needs using Gateway Supply’s full offering and vendor partnerships to recommend the right solutions for the job
• Facilitate purchases and deliveries by coordinating with internal teams (inside sales, purchasing, and delivery) to support efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
• Stay current on product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activity to position Gateway Supply as a trusted supplier
• Track sales performance and meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics
