Job summary

The John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art, a department of Florida State University, is seeking an HVAC Support Worker to perform preventative maintenance on campus HVAC systems and assist with general facilities tasks at the Ringling in Sarasota, FL. The role requires a high school diploma with two years of HVAC or related maintenance experience, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment.

On-call duties and occasional evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years of experience in HVAC or facilities maintenance.
• Relevant technical or vocational degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine servicing of HVAC systems and supports Facilities maintenance for The Ringling.
• Operates boilers and chillers per schedules; checks meters; maintains logs.
• Maintains buildings through painting, plumbing, and grounds work as needed.
• Generates and responds to emails and work orders; updates progress daily.
• On-call for emergencies and special projects outside normal hours.
• Completes water quality tests and supports safety and operations.
• Must obtain lift certification and operate aerial lift or forklift if required.
