Job summary

Cheltenham Township School District is seeking a Facilities Technician - HVAC Specialist to maintain all HVAC equipment across district facilities, ensuring compliance with codes and a safe learning environment. Responsibilities include repairs, installations, test pipes and pumps, and preventative maintenance on boilers, chillers, and air handling units.

The role reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Facilities and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade/vocational training preferred.
• Valid PA driver’s license and ability to read blueprints.
• Five years HVAC maintenance experience in educational or medical settings.
• CFC refrigerant recovery certification and boiler license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC equipment to ensure code compliance and safe learning environment.
• Repair and install boilers, pumps, chillers and air handling units.
• Operate and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Complete work orders via FMX and follow safety procedures.
