Job summary

Bell County is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join the facilities team in Central Texas. The role involves coordinating work, performing complex maintenance across building systems, and ensuring safe operations of county facilities.

The ideal candidate will have high school graduation or GED and at least two years of related maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and alarm systems. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School graduation or GED and two years of experience in building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, alarm systems, and minor construction maintenance and repairs.
• Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assign and review work and establish schedules.
• Perform maintenance and diagnostic services for systems in county facilities.
• Estimate and procure materials and tools for maintenance and construction.
• Install, maintain and repair surveillance systems.
• Prepare daily work reports and inspections.
• Plan wiring layouts and install electrical systems in buildings.
• Respond to 24-hour service calls and diagnose issues.
