Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and operating services for county buildings, including preventive maintenance, repair and event setup. The role involves keeping building systems safe and comfortable, and working with vendors and contractors to ensure work is properly performed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years general maintenance and specialized experience in HVAC, plumbing or electrical.
• Valid and current TX driver's license.
• Overtime and shift work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the building systems for safe and comfortable operation.
• Repairs and maintains HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Maintains and assists with plumbing repairs and assist with other associated building repairs.
• Works with vendors and contractors. May oversee work and ensure that it is properly performed.
• Provides other general building maintenance services.
• Helps move furniture as needed.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
