Job summary

Tom Barrow Company, a premier HVAC manufacturer’s representative serving the Southeast, is hiring an Estimator to support our sales team. The role focuses on preparing accurate material quotations, pricing standard products, and ensuring competitive bids for commercial projects.

You will read specifications and drawings, coordinate with sales reps and customers, manage multiple quotes, and deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude and interest in HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative sales team.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and requests for quotation to generate accurate estimates on core HVAC equipment.
• Select and price standard products such as air distribution, packaged equipment, fans, and sheet metal items using manufacturer tools and pricing data.
• Collaborate with Sales Representatives to create and deliver strategic bids to contractors.
• Provide alternate product options when appropriate to meet project requirements.
• Manage multiple quotations simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Communicate with internal teams, factory representatives, and customers to ensure accurate information and support throughout the bidding process.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and sales support.
