Job summary

Michigan Mechanical Ventures, a Southeast Michigan contractor, seeks a full-time Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our family-owned team. You will accurately calculate costs for commercial HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance projects, drawing on your knowledge of systems and materials.

You will analyze drawings, specifications, and supplier quotes, maintain cost databases, and present estimates to management and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HVAC Estimator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with estimating software (AccuBid, FastDUCT, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• A relevant degree or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials needed.
• Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget.
• Maintain and update a database of material costs, labor rates, and historical project data.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities that may affect project costs.
• Present and review estimates with management and clients.

Michigan Mechanical Ventures is a fast-growing contractor in Southeast Michigan looking to add talented and driven individuals to our team. We are a Family-owned Plumbing/HVAC company focused primarily on commercial service and new construction looking for a full-time Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our project success by accurately calculating the costs of HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and excellent analytical skills.
