Job summary

Trane Technologies in Miramar and Jacksonville, FL is hiring an Equipment Estimator II to join our team. You will work with customers, account managers, project managers, technicians and suppliers to ensure timely estimates and project execution.

Responsibilities include technical selection and pricing of equipment for each project. The ideal candidate has an engineering-related degree and 3–5 years in estimating or HVAC; strong communication, detail orientation, and ability to meet tight

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or business management; 3–5 years in estimating, project management, HVAC or construction.
• Alternative: candidates without a 4-year degree prioritized; practical experience valued.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications and develop cost estimates, ensuring accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc.
• Provide knowledge and consultation in facility-related solutions for the customer’s problems.
• Determine project needs and constraints to meet HVAC design and installation requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and discuss possible solutions with Account Manager, Project Manager, Sub-contractor, Supplier, and/or customer.
• Coordinate selection, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services for each project.
• Prepare and review preliminary and final proposals; finalize equipment submittals and validate equipment selection.
• Assist Account Manager in determining proposal price, selling strategy, and project fulfillment schedule.
