Job summary

Ohio Cat in Ohio is seeking mechanically inclined individuals for a production-based role assembling portable HVAC equipment, performing inspections, and helping prepare equipment for customers. Training is provided and you’ll work with a team that values reliability and hands-on problem solving.

In this on-site position, you’ll load equipment, assist with repairs, and contribute to a safe, organized workshop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Mechanical aptitude or general technical service skills required.
• Basic plumbing and pipe-fitting knowledge a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical system principles.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machine components (pipes, electrical connections, mechanical fasteners, etc.)
• Safely load and unload HVAC equipment to/from trucks and trailers
• Perform touch-up painting and sheet metal fabrication/ modification
• Operate forklifts to move and organize materials indoors and outdoors
• Wash and inspect returned equipment, reporting any damage
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
