Job summary

Ohio Cat is seeking mechanically inclined, hardworking individuals to join our production team. In this role you’ll assemble portable HVAC equipment, inspect, assist with repairs, and help prepare units for customers.

Training is provided, and you’ll work in a collaborative environment focused on reliability and teamwork. You'll gain hands-on experience with assembly, painting, and basic sheet metal work while supporting technicians and customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Mechanical aptitude or general technical service skills required.
• Basic plumbing and pipe-fitting knowledge a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical system principles.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machine components (pipes, electrical connections, mechanical fasteners, etc.).
• Safely load and unload HVAC equipment to/from trucks and trailers.
• Perform touch-up painting and sheet metal fabrication/modification.
• Operate forklifts to move and organize materials indoors and outdoors.
• Wash and inspect returned equipment, reporting any damage.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
