Job summary

Midwest Mechanical Solutions, a member of the AIR Control Concepts family, seeks an Intern - Engineered Systems Specialist in Minneapolis to support sales engineers and the team in developing HVAC systems for diverse clients. The role provides hands-on exposure to engineered sales, the HVAC industry, and the broader construction context.

This non-exempt internship pays $20–$24/hour, with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM or HVAC degree; juniors/seniors preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no visa sponsorship needed.
• Commit to 40 hours/week for the internship.
• Experience with MS Office is preferred.
• Relevant academic projects/internships helpful (HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Learn HVAC products, applications, and systems with senior engineers.
• Assist with takeoffs, selection, and pricing per plans.
• Prepare submittals for engineering approval.
• Research and respond to customer technical questions.
• Engage with manufacturers to learn product details and positioning.
• Participate in sales support meetings and contribute ideas.
• Opportunity to visit job sites and observe pre-construction and construction activities.
