About The Role

As a CBRE HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, supporting preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  1. Assign tasks to team members, ensuring timely completion.
  2. Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems for HVAC and refrigeration systems, including calibration of instruments and control components.
  3. Inspect and perform ongoing maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with codes and safety standards.
  4. Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend modifications.
  5. Apply in-depth knowledge to complete complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  6. Coach colleagues and share knowledge across disciplines.
  7. Lead by example, demonstrating behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values, and work to build consensus.
  8. Impact customer, operational, and project activities within your team and others.
  9. Operate within broad guidelines and policies.
  10. Explain complex or sensitive information effectively.
What You’ll Need
  1. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience. Experience and education combined may be considered in lieu of a diploma. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  2. Physical ability to perform tasks including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting over 50 lbs.
  3. Judgment skills based on analyzing multiple information sources.
  4. Willingness to adopt new perspectives on existing solutions.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  6. Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
  7. Mathematical skills to handle complex calculations such as percentages and fractions.
