Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced electrician to plan, install, test, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, and control systems. The role requires reading drawings, troubleshooting, and working with high and low voltage systems in an outdoor environment.

The candidate should be able to climb heights, work in confined spaces, and perform required overtime as needed. This position emphasizes safety and adherence to plans and codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related field experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, sketches, and plans to determine procedures and tools.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install electrical conduit; assemble and install cables and duct banks.
• Install control and distribution equipment and fasten in place.
• Test and start up systems; verify circuit continuity for safety and compatibility.
• Observe equipment performance and identify hazards or adjustments needed.
• Pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Work with high and low voltage systems; disassemble and repair equipment.
