Job summary

Greenwood Heating and Home Services is seeking a Service Dispatcher to manage daily scheduling and customer communications for heating and air conditioning service requests. You will play a critical role in ensuring customers are cared for and that the service board operates efficiently.

The role requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and attention to detail, with opportunities for training and growth across our two Washington offices in Everett and Tukwila.

• Confident and professional communication via a multi-line phone system.
• Experience with Outlook and Word; ability to learn new software.
• Attention to detail as this is often the first contact with Greenwood Heating.
• Service oriented and ability to handle diverse customer service scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers via email, chat, and phone to provide product/service information.
• Gather, record, and maintain customer data in our database.
• Discuss issues professionally with customers and coordinate with team leaders.
• Collaborate with CSRs to fill the service board schedule for HVAC work.
• Move service calls on the dispatch board to optimize the field team workflow.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Service Dispatcher to join our team. A Service Dispatcher is an incredibly important role to our organization, being in charge of our schedule to ensure our customers are taken care of.

Wage / Hours:

This position is a full-time, hourly, and non-exempt position. Our general office hours are 7am-6pm, with varying shifts for this position. Wage is $25-30 per hour (depending on experience). Bonus program is available for this position, (more details about pay during application process).

Location:

Greenwood Heating operates out of two offices. We have a Everett (northend) office and a Tukwila (South end). This Service Dispatcher position can be based out of either location.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers utilizing email, chat, and phone calls to provide support and information on products and services.
• Gathers, records, and maintains customer information in our database.
• Engage in client discussions professionally and politely to uncover their needs and works with their team leaders to address issues if beyond their knowledge base.
• Work with a team of Customer Service Representatives to fill a service board schedule of customers who need heating and air conditioning service.
• Move service calls on the dispatch board to create an efficient and productive service team that services our customers to the fullest extent.
• Performs other duties as requested by company or Team Leader.
  

Job Requirements / Skills:

• Confident and professional communication skills via multi-line phone system which includes active listening.
• Experience with and able to navigate email and third-party data systems (ex. Outlook, Word) with the ability to learn new software.
• Attention to detail as this is often the first contact with Greenwood Heating. The information gathered will be used by other members of the team, down the line.
• Service oriented and ability to interact with all customer service scenarios (positive and negative). Ability to empathize and work through challenging problem-solving situations.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer service experience required (additional training will be provided).
• Dispatching in a home service industry preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
