Job summary

Jordan & Skala Engineers seeks a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to own HVAC design in a Revit/BIM environment and support projects from design through construction. You will design ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing, perform load calculations, and contribute to central plants and DX systems.

This role emphasizes coordination with multi-discipline teams, design documentation in BIM, and energy/documentation support (COMcheck/REScheck). Teleworking options and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Strong working proficiency in Revit (mechanical design within a BIM workflow).
• Solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals, codes, and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC systems design including ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing/selection.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and apply results to layouts.
• Produce clear, coordinated mechanical documents in a Revit-first BIM workflow.
• Coordinate with plumbing, electrical, architectural, and structural teams in real time.
