Job summary

Career Collective in Minneapolis is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects, and will develop detailed drawings, specifications, and load calculations.

We do not offer H-1B or other visa sponsorship for this position. A Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of HVAC design experience are expected; proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required, with EIT/PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience on commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, education, or mission-critical projects.
• EIT or PE license is highly preferred; non-licensed candidates will be considered for Designer positions.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Experience using Trane Trace, Trace 700, and/or Carrier HAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• HVAC and ductwork design.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Prepare heating, ventilation, and air conditioning load calculations.
• Work on multiple projects, including commercial, retail, healthcare, data center and more.
• Review RFIs, review shop drawings, participate in field observations, and write reports.
• Collaborate with other disciplines such as architecture, electrical, civil, etc.
