Job summary

Career Collective in Germantown, MD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems for diverse projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of HVAC design experience; EIT/PE is preferred. Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, and familiarity with Trane Trace, Trace 700 or Carrier HAP is a plus. Visa sponsorship is not offered, so applicants should be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of HVAC/Mechanical Design Engineering experience on commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, education or mission-critical projects is a plus.
• EIT or PE license is highly preferred, but non-licensed candidates will be considered for Designer positions.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Experience using Trane Trace, Trace 700, and/or Carrier HAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• HVAC and Ductwork design.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Prepare heating, ventilation, and air conditioning load calculations.
• Work on multiple projects, including commercial, retail, healthcare, data center and more.
• Review RFIs, review shop drawings, participate in field observations, and write reports.
• Collaborate with other disciplines such as architecture, electrical, civil, etc.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of various HVAC mechanical systems and have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects.
