Job summary

IES is seeking an HVAC Designer to support project design and coordination. You will prepare layouts, review plans, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to keep projects organized and on schedule.

Minimum 2–4 years of experience and basic drafting/design software knowledge are preferred. This on-site role in Garland, TX requires strong organization and communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience drafting, design, administration, or project coordination preferred.
• Experience in HVAC construction, operations, or design environments preferred.
• Experience using design software or drafting systems preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update HVAC project layouts, designs, and related documentation.
• Review plans, specifications, and project information for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate design requirements, updates, approvals, and timelines with internal and external partners.
• Maintain organized project files, reports, and documentation in company systems.
• Support project managers and operations teams with design-related administrative and coordination tasks.
• Identify and help resolve design concerns in a timely manner.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
