Job summary

Lynk Engineers in Salt Lake City, UT and Tempe, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering student intern to support HVAC design, BIM modeling, and construction documentation while gaining practical consulting experience.

You will assist with drawings, HVAC layouts, load calculations, and coordination across architectural and MEP teams under supervision, developing hands-on skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Completion of at least sophomore or junior-level coursework preferred.
• Basic understanding of: thermodynamics and fluid mechanics; HVAC fundamentals; engineering design principles.
• Familiarity with: Microsoft Office; exposure to Revit or AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing mechanical design drawings and documentation for building projects.
• Support the development of HVAC system layouts, including ductwork distribution, piping coordination, and equipment placement.
• Assist engineers with load calculation support tasks, equipment research, and design data organization.
• Help review drawings for coordination and constructability considerations.
