Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Norcross, GA, is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to ensure timely, accurate product delivery and maintain vehicle safety and housekeeping. You will support warehouse tasks when not driving and follow DOT and company standards.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, 1+ years of truck driving or HVAC-related equipment experience, forklift familiarity, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 1+ years of truck driving experience (26 ft vehicle or larger) or 1 year operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles under supervision; or equivalent education/experience.
• 6+ months of warehouse/distribution experience, preferably HVAC/R or related field.
• Experience with a picker, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Experience driving a forklift.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
• OSHA safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional service that includes accurate and timely delivery of products.
• Serves as a key field contact for gathering accurate customer service and delivery expectations.
• Safely operates company vehicles and equipment per DOT, state, federal, and company standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of inside of truck, cab, box, and all assigned work areas.
• Performs routine vehicle inspections and maintenance; reports defects to supervisor.
• Loads and unloads trucks; verifies deliveries against orders.
• Prepares routes and follows schedules for delivery and related tasks.
• Drives box trucks to deliver supplies and equipment to customer sites or other Johnstone locations.
• Communicates delivery and safety issues to supervisor promptly.
• Records sales/delivery information and completes manifests with signatures/photos as needed.
