Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical mechanical and cooling systems inside data center environments.

You will work on CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, pumps, and supporting equipment to keep facilities running around the clock. The role requires 5+ years in mechanical or cooling systems, strong diagnostic abilities, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience with mechanical, cooling or critical infrastructure systems.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of cooling, airflow, environmental controls and system commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and cooling systems in data centers.
• Inspect and service CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, pumps and related equipment.
• Diagnose issues, respond to service calls, and minimize downtime.
• Provide technical guidance to other technicians and document work.
• Maintain safety compliance and operational standards in facilities.

OverviewJoin an established mechanical services company as a Data Center Service Technician. In this role you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical infrastructure systems inside data center environments — the mechanical, cooling, and supporting systems that keep these facilities running around the clock. This is mission-critical work where uptime matters, and the company is looking for technicians who take that seriously. Travel as needed.What You'll Be DoingPerform maintenance, service, and troubleshooting safely in data center and mission-critical environmentsInspect, maintain, and repair cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, pumps, and supporting mechanical equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on mechanical and environmental systems to maximize uptime and reliabilityDiagnose and resolve issues with cooling, air distribution, temperature control, and equipment performanceSupport installation, startup, and commissioning of new mechanical and cooling equipmentRespond to service calls and complete repairs on critical systems to minimize downtimeProvide technical support and guidance to other technicians in the fieldDocument maintenance activities, repairs, and system performanceMaintain compliance with safety procedures and operational standards in mission-critical facilitiesObtain an NCCER Performance Evaluator credential and support learning and development in the fieldWhat They're Looking For5+ years of experience with mechanical, cooling, or critical infrastructure systems, preferably in data centers or other mission-critical facilitiesStrong understanding of mechanical systems supporting data center operationsWorking knowledge of cooling systems, airflow management, chilled water systems, and environmental controlsExperience with equipment startup and commissioningFamiliarity with service tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment used in critical facilitiesAbility to troubleshoot complex systems and stay composed in high-pressure situationsStrong written and verbal communication skills — data center work involves constant interaction with site escorts and facility personnel, so communicating clearly and professionally matters as much as the technical abilityHigh School Diploma required; technical school preferredOSHA 10 preferredEPA Certification preferredValid Driver's License requiredPhysical RequirementsStanding, walking, and sitting; talking and hearing in person and by phone; using hands and fingers to handle objects and controls; reaching with hands and arms; regular stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds; driving.BenefitsCompany pays the majority of your health premium, with employer contributions to your HSA.
