Job summary

Johnstone Supply Albuquerque Group is seeking a dependable Counter/Warehouse Associate to support HVAC wholesale operations in a hybrid role that blends customer-facing sales with warehouse logistics. You’ll rely on strong organizational skills, accuracy, and teamwork to meet daily service goals.

The ideal candidate has experience with inventory systems, barcodes, and order processing, plus a hands-on approach to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Prior HVAC/plumbing/electrical/building supply experience desired.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, parts and tools is a plus.
• Experience with barcode scanning and warehouse management systems.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Must frequently lift over 50 lbs.
• Excellent in-person customer service and telephone communication.
• Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the sales counter and on calls.
• Provide product and technical information to generate sales.
• Process transactions, quotes, returns, and requests in POS/ERP.
• Pick products for orders using barcode inventory system.
• Stage, pack, and process outbound shipments for delivery or pickup.
• Inspect inbound freight for accuracy and damage; report discrepancies.
• Load delivery trucks using forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck safely.
• Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Assist with receiving and stocking inventory.
