Job summary

Havtech in Richmond, VA is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician with Tridium Niagara AX experience to install, program, and commission building automation systems. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, design, and on-site energy-saving implementations.

The candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of control/mechanical systems experience, with strong communication and customer service skills. Some travel and outside-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in control/mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with engineering drawing tools and reading plans/specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, commission, troubleshoot, repair and maintain building automation systems.
• Interpret controls drawings, plans and specifications.
• Design and program systems using direct digital controls and automation for comfort and energy savings.
• Create installation, submittal and as-built drawings; assist with close-out documents.
• Provide technical direction for programming, electrical terminations and commissioning.
• Travel with occasional overnight stays as needed.
