Job summary

Johnson Controls in New York seeks a skilled HVAC controls technician to program, troubleshoot, install, and commission control systems, while performing preventative maintenance related to mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components. You will respond to service and warranty calls using JCI tools and a range of testing meters, providing frontline technical support to customers.

Qualifications

• Requires Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, etc.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence and applications.
• Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls tools and a variety of hand tools.
• Provide front line technical and repair support through effective communications with customers.
• Provide system repair and update recommendations and assist in proposing recommendations to Johnson Controls customers.
• Maintain safety standards and high level of service to resolve building inefficiencies.
