Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. seeks a Controls Technician II to support customer projects in Littleton, CO. You will troubleshoot and program temperature control systems, perform installation, warranty, and emergency procedures, and mentor apprentice technicians on site.

You will apply your knowledge of commercial HVAC, coordinate with project teams, and ensure commissioning and start-up tasks meet LONG standards and contract documents. Prior experience with KMC, Distech, or Tridium is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of computer/electronic technical degree or 3-5 years temperature control system start-up experience.
• Proficient programming and troubleshooting with KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet sequences of operation and contract requirements.
• Calibrate and check-out control systems; ensure commissioning obligations are met.
• Create project control graphics and assist with GUI delivery per LONG standards.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems.
• Support site tasks including start-up, commissioning, and owner training; mentor apprentices.
