The HVAC Controls Technician at Actalent serves as a field representative delivering front-line technical and repair support for building automation and HVAC control systems. The role includes troubleshooting, installation, start-up, and commissioning across mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components.

Based in Phoenix, AZ, the position is contract-to-hire with extensive local travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience verifying sequences of operation for HVAC and building automation systems.
• Hands-on testing of low-voltage control wiring and electrical connections.
• Ability to modify and troubleshoot control programming for HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line technical and repair support for HVAC control systems.
• Troubleshoot, install, start-up, and commission building automation systems.
• Collaborate with operations to meet customer needs and stay on budget.
• Verify SOO by testing installed equipment to ensure performance.
• Mentor junior technicians and document changes for as-built records.
• Document labor, materials, and changes to support billing.
• Participate in safety training and utilize PPE as required.
• Travel to local customer sites for installation, commissioning, and support.
